This was our second burn container scenario this year. We used a water vapour smoke machine to simulate a smoke filled environment. In the far end of the green container we lit a small fire to produce some heat.  In a donated train car we created a two story dwelling atmosphere with several rooms to simulate a real house. The purpose of this practice was to find any trapped victims in the house.   ...

This training night we had to apply the airbag techniques we had to practice the week before. We had a scenario of a three vehicle MVC with three victims. As you see was the first victim ejected through the windshield. Another victim was trapped in a burning vehicle. Lastly there was a baby stuck under one of the vehicles. In the second picture you see that we had to lift the vehicle with airbags in order to be able to release the baby victim. (Please note that all the victims we used were plastic training dummies.) ...

Some of our members took the s601 course which deals with driving the apparatus and pumping operations. The course was spread out over two evenings and three Saturdays.
